Cottonwood Falls, Chase Co., KS - R3 Energy LLC produces biodiesel
fuel at their Cottonwood Falls facility. The facility produces
5 million gallons of biodiesel annually. (October 2012)

Minneola, Clark Co., KS - Emergent Green Energy Biodiesel is a family-owned
facility that processes used grease and other waste products into biodiesel fuel. The facility produces

Northeast Kansas Bioenergy LLC
Hiawatha, Brown, KS - A 50 million gallon ethanol and
30 million gallon biodiesel plant designed by Burns & McDonnell. (August
31, 2006)
Burden Biodiesel
Burden, Cowley Co., KS - A small project that will convert canola into B-100
biodiesel. See the article below for more.
Lawrence Biodiesel Plant
Lawrence, Douglas Co., KS - In 2005, it was
announced that Lawrence Biodiesel had a goal to have a
plant producing 20 million gallons of biodiesel per year.
As of October 2012, nothing more is known about this project and it is
likely no longer being pursued. (October 2012)
Sunflower Biodiesel Plant
Holcomb, Finney Co., KS - Plans are underway to
create an integrated bioenergy center near the coal-fired power plants
in Holcomb. The center will include biodiesel, ethanol, and be tied in
with a feedlot and dairy.
Dial Bio Renewable Fuels
Dodge City, Ford Co., KS - Dial Energy of Omaha,
Neb. announced in early August 2006, that they want to build a 226
million gallon ethanol plant and 60 million gallon biodiesel plant in
Dodge City on a 66.8-acre
plot south of U.S. 50 between 104 and 106 roads.
In November 2006, Dial Energy officials noted that they are considering
bumping up the capacity to 200
million gallons per year.
Grant County Biodiesel Plant
Ulysses, Grant Co., KS - Plans for a 30 million gallon per year biodiesel
plant and 40 million gallon per year ethanol plant. The site for the
plant has not yet been selected.
Nexsun Energy
of Los Angeles, California plans to build it. (January 2007)
Emporia Biodiesel Plant
Emporia, Lyon Co., KS - There are plans for a 60 million
gallon per year biodiesel plant. The plant will be located on a 41-acre
site just east of Norfolk Iron and Metal. The plant will use soybeans and
animal fats to produce biodiesl. Renewable Energy Group
of Ralston, Iowa plans to build it. (April 2007)
Kanza Energy Bio-Diesel Plant
Goodland, Sherman Co., KS - Plans for the Goodland Energy Center were
announced in July 2005. The GEC will include a 25 MW coal plant, 20 million gallon per year
ethanol plant, and a biodiesel plant.
St. John Biodiesel Plant
St. John, Stafford Co., KS - Proposed project is
looking at a site near St. John on Old-highway 50. A business
plan should be complete by the end of June 2006. (Updated May

Washington, Washington Co., KS - No details yet.
Proposed Biodiesel Plants - Regional
Paseo Biofuels
Kansas City, MO - A 40 million gallon per year biodiesel plant
has been proposed for Kansas City. Cargill and Paseo Biofuels,
LLC, an entity formed by Missouri soybean farmers and the Missouri
Soybean Association, will co-own the plant. This facility
is still in the equity drive phase. (July 2006)
Prairie Pride Biofuels
Eve, Vernon, MO - Construction has begun on a 30 million
gallon per year biodiesel plant
located in the Kansas/Missouri border town of Eve, Missouri.
Prairie Pride, LLC is an entity formed by area farmers and investors with 80%
living in Missouri and 20% in Kansas. (April 2007)
